Stand Up Paddleboard therapy is a form of experiential therapy. This holistically-based experience will engage aspects of the client’s physical and mental health. Elements from nature may be used symbolically in session as clients connect with and reap the healing benefits of the wind and water.
Chelsea is eager to provide an opportunity to encourage mindfulness as clients become attuned with nature. In this non-traditional form of therapy, individuals are able to respond to their surroundings and engage in self-exploration in a unique way.

Paddleboarding has been associated with decreased anxiety, relief from stress, as well as feelings of empowerment and a heightened sense of self-esteem. For those who are curious, but have never done stand up paddleboarding, have no fear. Stand up paddleboard therapy can be modified for anyone from beginner level to advanced. No experience on paddleboards is needed in order to participate!
